FINDING YOUR "TRUE" BEAUTY / MAKE-UP OR NO MAKE-UP!!

According to Google, "A beautiful woman is someone who has a distinctive personality, one who can laugh at anything, including themselves, and who is especially kind and caring to others."
Beauty can be subjective, so basically its your opinion. It may be a smile, a piece of art work, someone eyes, hands, lips.. and the list goes on. It's basically a combination of qualities that pleases the senses, especially the sight. As the saying goes, "Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder."

Now the big question is...Does make-up enhances beauty or makes us beautiful???

To be honest, I cant say I "love" make-up, but I've grown to have fun and experiment with it. Surprisingly, it was only just a few months ago that I started to wear a full face of make-up. I usually just add some concealer, eyeliner and sort my brows. Of course, I never leave the house without my lip-gloss. That was pretty much it, no foundation. Why?.. In the past I've tried so many foundations, and maybe I didn't know what I was doing. But after the applications I looked like a walking dead.. haha. Plus I always get break outs, so I thought the foundation would have made it worst. So.. I gave up. But the Fenty Beauty Foundation launched, all of 40 shades. After watching sooo many reviews on YouTube. I finally made the decision to give it a try. I ended up purchasing three different shades, as I wasn't sure which would best suite me, and I hate it when make-up make someone appear darker. Anyway, by mixing two shades I think I might be close enough to my complexion. What I love about it... The consistency, so many shades to choose from, it enhances the complexion and its not too matte (I like a dewy makeup look, for me it looks more natural).

Anyway, enough of me. I don't think "True Beauty" has anything to do with makeup. I just believe makeup is a booster. It's definitely not magic lol.
You have some women with flawless beautiful skin, and they choose to wear make-up anyway. however, some women( and men) choose to bash women who does wear makeup. "I don't need make-up, I'm beautiful as I am.".. Of course you are...But does this mean women who chose to wear make-up are not??…
Make-up highlights your best features, it gives you definition and colour. The only thing make-up fixes is discoloration(i.e.. eyes bags, acne). It definitely wont fix that bad personality or your selfish ways. So then what does make us beautiful?

Make-up may cause breakouts. But in my opinion, this happens if you sleep in your make-up or you don't cleanse the skin properly after removing your application, and of course if you don't practise a daily facial care routine.
the following photo are products that I've recently added to my facial routine and I've seen great result so far. I will review them in a couple weeks (maybe on my blog or Instagram account), so you will see my results after using them for a month. Ps. I get hormonal breakouts and so far my face is clear and feels dehydrated).

So.. yeah, make-up has nothing to do with beauty.. Make-up is just a choice!
make-up is a form of art that allow women to express themselves. So whether you choose to wear make-up with cut crease eye shadows or blue glitter lipstick with lashes long from here to Timbuctoo haha. Or just a simple every day look like myself (when I feel like it). Or maybe you just don't wear makeup for some reason. We don't need to bash each other based on their preferences. Beauty is much more!!

What is your favourite foundation, and why?
Why you do or do not wear makeup?
What is your opinion on beauty?

MY LOVE AND HATE FOR WINTER/ STYLISH WINTER FASHION

Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a warm friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire; it is the time for home.

Hello beauties, so as the topic stated, I have a love hate relationship with winter. Yes, you can both love and hate winter. I was born and raised in Jamaica, where its nice, warm and sunny, So.. you understand my relationship with the British weather. Back home we might get a mild evening in September, but nothing compared to a -1 degree in the UK.

Why I love Winter:
There's nothing like seeing a fresh snow fall before anyone has walked on it or plowed. Walking on that white fluffy snow some how feels magical, no matter how cold it might be at the time... And most of all I love..love..love winter fashion. The long coat, thigh high boats, leather gloves, chunky scarves and jumpers, you know what I mean. lol.
I wear winter colours all year round, but winter is the perfect excuse for me to wear black everyday haha.
ps. I've added a few more colours to my wardrobe.
last but definitely not least, there's absolutely nothing like drinking a delicious hot beverage on a cold day all cozy under a fleece blanket, with lit scented candles. Ahhh… Bonus: A hot beverage warms your hands too...

Why I hate Winter
The dry itchy skin, the chopped lips, ashy hands. ugghh!!
I hate it when mornings start off a little mild, so you dress nicely with maybe just a blazer and a scarf, and then by mid-day there is ice falling from the sky (if  I may exaggerate a little lol). Not to mention winter colds and flu, make you feel awful, right!

Anyway, winter, summer or spring. Lets just be thankful for life, and enjoy the little things. sometimes we complain so much we don't actual have time to make the best of life(in this case, the weather)

"Despite the forecast, live like it's spring."

What do you love or hate about winter? Reply in the comments below..
Thank you for stopping by, good night and good morning.
Sending loads of love your way... Stay warm comfy and stylish!

HOW MOTHERHOOD CHANGED/SAVED ME

Becoming a mother as been one of, if not the biggest blessing in my life. Being a mom is by far the most challenging but most rewarding job I have ever done.

Hi guys, hope you all are doing well. I decided to write about this topic mainly because last Friday was Rhea's 6th birthday, and the time seem to have gone by so quickly. She has grown so much both mentally and physically, but so have I. Before I had Rhea I was a totally different person. I was just a girl who loved partying, shopping, eating fast food and "friends". But now I can honestly say I'm a lady, a mother, a teacher, a nurse when necessary, a home maker, a guidance counsellor and a role model. and this is all because of my beautiful, smart and outstanding daughter Rhea.

When I got pregnant people questioned if I was ready to have a child. To be honest, I questioned myself as well, but I knew it was the right time. just a feeling, you know. I'm sure every first time mom question themselves to some extent. Most of the time during my pregnancy I thought about the type of mother I wanted to be and the type of family I wanted to have, and with that I knew I couldn't be the same person I was then. As I said before sometimes I question myself and overthink things, but the overwhelming truth is she adds so much value to my life. I was never a perfect mom back then and I'm not now, but I sure do try my best.

" The moment a child is born, a mother is born also"

Now we share our favourite music(as young as she is, she absolutely loves music), films (supergirl), and the list goes on. I teach her values and morals, wrong from right, you know what I mean. I can share my passion, my love with this little human, and no one understands me better. She is my little best friend , my little miracle. the other day I was moaning about my hair, and she was like, "mommy you don't need long hair to be beautiful, you are beautiful as you are". I got a little teary and gave her a cuddle. I said to myself "thank you Jesus", cause I knew I am doing something right.
I lost friends along the way when I became a mom, but I gained a loyal, honest and lifelong friendship in my daughter. I've learnt to live and love, let go and let God.

How have I changed:
  • I am more prayerful- cause trust me, this world is not easy, and they go out everyday, so we need to ask the main man above to guide and protect them.
  • I am more patient
  • I am more forgiving
  • I can cook- haha, like proper cook lol. cause girl before I didn't even try, so I had no idea what I was capable of. Now I make whatever my family wants and more.
  • I am more mindful- in other words I am more worried. I think too often, worry too much. but then what mom doesn't though? and we aren't even at the teenage years yet...
  • I am joyful- ps. Rhea tells me she loves me like twice every hour lol, and always giving cuddles.. I will accept them all now, cause soon she will be tell me to leave her alone. lol
  • I am more appreciative- I appreciate my mom even more than before. I understand her love, and appreciate the sacrifices she made to ensure that I was always happy and never lacking anything as a child. overall, I have learnt to appreciate life on a whole.
In the end, though my daughter's needs guide much of my schedule and this sometimes can be a bit much. I would do it all over again if I had to.. This doesn't mean I want another child now lol.
All the deeply-rooted values and passions pre-motherhood remain, (still love dancing) just more bold than ever (not the dancing bit haha).. So on a serious note, I try my best to instill these values in Rhea's daily routine i.e.. to appreciate the little things, to love herself, to pray, to be polite, to be respectful, you know the little things that makes a little girl into a lovely young lady. In return, she adds more value and meaning to my life and everyday I learn so much from her.
Everything as changed, and yet I am more me than I've ever been.

I wanted to cut this post as short as possible, but I hope you enjoyed. If you are a mom to be, just know that having a child is a blessing in more ways than one, and if you don't want kids that's just fine, sharing love with nieces/nephews is just as good.

It takes someone brave to be a mother, someone strong to raise a child and someone special to love someone more than herself.

"The most precious jewel you'll ever have around your neck are the arms of your child or children."

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RHEA!!!

Thanks for stopping by. Good night and good morning..
Sending loads of love your way.

BIKER JACKET

Hello my lovelies, how is the new year going so far?... Mine is not going too bad after-all, however, I was to start the gym with my friend and I haven't got the motivation to go yet, but I will get to it before the end of the month, just need to get some things out the way.
So yesterday I honestly wasn't in the mood to go out for a photo shoot, so I changed my outfit idea and thought I would do something a bit simplier and take my photos at home. A every girl must have ...A Biker/Leather Jacket.

A biker jacket has no limits, its the ultimate wardrobe staple piece and its most definitely perfect for every age ,figure, occasion and season. Biker Jackets are longer for motorcycle enthusiast, they have taken over the fashion world, no matter what your style is, a biker jacket can dress up with heels and a floral dress or dress them down with trainers and a t-shirt. The sophisticated yet stylish appeal of biker jackets can be a great blend to almost any occasion.

When it comes to styling this versatile piece, there are simple no rules. In my opinion the leather/biker jacket should be seen as a "wear-over-anything jacket" haha.
Although these jackets fits true to size, we can get more wear from it, especially in the colder months, by purchasing one size up to allow for extra layers. The warmer the better right.

So go out and get yourselves a leather jacket if you haven't got one yet. Trust me, it is worth the buy. H&M has really stylish ones that don't cost a fortune.
So which of these looks is more you, or which would you wear? leave reply in the comment section below.

Oh, how could I forget.. soon you guys will be able to shop my looks through affiliated links on my blog. So keep an eye out for that.

Thanks for stopping by, good night and good morning.
Sending loads of love your way..
